'n' Roll New Music Showcase Gets On-Air Tryout
Taped at The Wolf Den inside Mohegan Sun in Uncasville, CT, the show features performance and interviews with New England bands--some Boston Music Award winners and others totally new to the music scene. "Just by word of mouth after our first taping, we were bombarded with emails from bands wanting to be on!" says a representative from SRO Productions. "We have taped segments with Girls, Guns and Glory, Parker House and Theory, Bang Camaro, and Bronze Radio Return--just to name a few-- for future shows. Each taping at The Wolf Den features six bands in a concert set up. Executive Producers are hoping to bring an new S.R.O. special to Boston and Connecticut TV each month, as well as build and extensive on-line presence where fans tell us who they would like to see on the show and why. "This isn't a competition; it's really a showcase. We are just looking for great bands who want some exposure that is a little more selective than YouTube." The first show features Boston favorites Say When, Tim Blaine, and Ernie and The Automatics. The show is hosted by Trey Morgan, formally of Boston's Kiss108; who now is now a featured host for a nationally syndicated radio program. For
